Two weeks earlier than last year, the milky green oat harvest began today.

The seeds will become tincture .a deeply nourishing tonic for a frazzled, overstretched nervous system. The mineral rich stems dried for tea.

The past few weeks have been filled with these abundant and remarkable summer herbs, each supporting the nervous system in their own unique and powerful way. Giving thanks to Linden, oat, lemon balm, chamomile, SJW, vervain, motherwort, melliot,rose

It seems we need their support now more than ever. My son was recently telling me some sobering statistics about the state of our nation’s mental health, and it left me reflecting on the role these plants can play. They are not a cure for the challenges we face, but they can help soften the impact of stress, change our focus ,ease the body’s burden, build resilience, and create space for rest, repair, and renewal.

In a world that often asks us to keep pushing, these summer herbs quietly invite us to slow down and remember that nourishment is also a form of medicine and that nature provides.

And so it begins, the beautiful linden gathering .

Graceful fingers tickling lithe branches, wafting a scent that catches the breeze to land, and fills my whole head till my heels begin rise and I float up . Tonight I will sip tea tomorrow distill. together we will make midsummers magic . And I will climb under the cool canopy to sit and share, thanks and words of how their virtues have reached many to heal and sooth and still.

Spell bound just now, They have all my attention ,it’s lesson learning and what a teacher 🙏, memories of rose and I keep coming through and what I didn’t understand I am starting to. 52 beads not sure they will let me get away with shortening this process, think I am going to get called to sit by the fire for five days to brew and stew .

Beautiful day at the workshop distilling roses and the last of the elderflower with the help of friends . So grateful to be surrounded by such wonderful roses and people .

Started the day with rose blossom ablution- the rains had come the night before and lay in the flowers making essences or that’s how it tasted to me 💗. I could have striped off for a full rose emersion but did my face . 😊
