More rose play back from another evening distilling and feeing for more .
Spell bound just now, They have all my attention ,it’s lesson learning and what a teacher 🙏, memories of rose and I keep coming through and what I didn’t understand I am starting to. 52 beads not sure they will let me get away with shortening this process, think I am going to get called to sit by the fire for five days to brew and stew .

Beautiful day at the workshop distilling roses and the last of the elderflower with the help of friends . So grateful to be surrounded by such wonderful roses and people .

Started the day with rose blossom ablution- the rains had come the night before and lay in the flowers making essences or that’s how it tasted to me 💗. I could have striped off for a full rose emersion but did my face . 😊

Someone said to me the other day I start to talk about the coming harvest early . There are reasons for that, it helps me align with the seasons and if I am not always visiting the plants I could miss the early harvest and not see all the phases unfolding . Also because I gather little and often from different places so I like to start early. I also get excited watching for when the time is right and it gives me time if the weather isn’t on my side as I have a longer window. Basically any excuse to be out with the plants because it makes me so happy and really is one of my favourite things to do plus I make some really potent medicine this way.
The watch and wait is on . One of the most splendid harvests of the year and they are best new old flowers are not for gathering .

It’s that time of the year where I take the long ways home and end up pollen dusted, reversing down dirt tracks. I have eyes for giant headed young elder heads with their distinctive sharp floral scents.

Join me next wed 3rd of June at to celebrate this wonderful plant known also known as Natures medicine chest. Take home your own floral water and some deeper elder insights .
