A “Hi, this is me” post is so overdue, I’ve had lots of new followers recently and I always think it’s nice to see the person behind the keepsakes.. because after all it is just me, myself and I pouring my care and love into each and every keepsake I make.. and yes I do do a little happy dance for each order I receive wether it’s one bear or 10, I appreciate each and every one 🫶🏼

1. Hey i’m Sophie, the face behind Sojustmade, based in Kent with my husband and two boys. I’ve been stitching memories since 2019 when shortly after the world went a little crazy, I needed a creative outlet for my own mental health, being home with a newborn and 4 year old while my partner still continued to work full time. So that’s when a hobby turned into my very own successful business! In Sept 2020 I decided not to return to work in sheltered housing and Sojustmade became my full time work, which was a dream!
I’m very much a home body, I’m a creature of comfort and routine, the fussiest eater you’ll find and I’m just not one for drama. Leave the drama at the door and come in for a cuppa!

2. The reason behind my business, my boys. The late nights sewing, the early mornings admin and everything in between. My boys, now age 6 & 10 are the reason for it all, I want them to see their mummy as a successful small business owner doing something she loves and making it her own. I rarely feel proud of myself, I’m not one of those people that oozes confidence and can walk into a room and say “I run my own successful business creating keepsakes” but these two love what I do and are always telling me their proud and that’s enough for me.

5. So much planning and prep happens before the sewing. This is one of my favourite parts.

6. And last but not least, my absolute rock & biggest cheerleader. Without this man by my side I probably would have given up a long time ago, the start of this year began a little shaky for my business but he reminded me that when life gives you a sour person make some successful lemonade.. or something along those lines 😂
