Sewing Confidence Workshop

Do you love sewing but unsure if you're doing it right? Maybe you get the pattern and the fabric but are just not brave enough to start, or get so far, get stuck and leave it in a corner, never to be finished? Maybe you want to start making clothes from patterns but aren't confident in interpreting them? Or maybe you want help learning what your sewing machine can do.
Well, I can help! I'm running a monthly Sewing Confidence workshop at Fabric Corner in Lincoln. I'll help you start, continue or finish your project, learn new techniques or just be there as the support to get you through the project.

Workshops will be held on the 2nd Saturday of the month starting on 14th March. 10:30 to 16:30. £50 per person.

You can use the machines in the work room or bring your own if you prefer.

The Craftea Café next door will be open for refreshments throughout the day.

Join me at Treasured Trove, Sleaford for a hand sewing workshop making beaded decorations. There will be cake!!

On Saturday 15th November I will be running a workshop showing you how to make these beautiful eye-catching decorations. Totally hand sewn, this workshop is suitable for anyone who can use a needle, but children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Bun Yard - Crafts will also be there making paint swirl decorations so you can bring your non-sewer friends too.

Saturday 15th November, 1pm to 3pm.

£24.95 per person, includes all materials, hot drinks and cakes! Take home as many decorations as you can make in the time.

'Tis the season to be gonky! Make your own seasonal gonk at one of our workshops held at Fabric Corner in Lincoln.

Want an unusual Christmas present for a creative person in your life? How about a beautiful vintage sewing machine? Perfect for children as well as adults, they are easy to use, reliable and stunning to look at. I have a selection of various sizes and designs available but for pure simplicity you can't beat the Singer 99k. This one is hand driven so great for children and beginners as it can't run away with you, it is compact and super reliable. My mother taught me to sew on one of these when I was about 7 years old!

This one is £120 and comes with needles, bobbins, instruction book (copy), a set of feet (zip foot, hemmer, binder) and as a Christmas offer I will throw in an hour's tuition on using it too!

One of my customers rescued this lovely little machine which was made around 1890. This morning it was totally seized up and now it's sewing beautifully. Happy to be part of its story. ❤️
