Good morning lovely people 🥰
I’m so sorry, but I am unable to open the Boutique today! I have suffered with foot ulcers due to Rheumatoid Arthritis and the increased amounts of standing, for the last 5 years. Yesterday I had a flare. It’s excruciatingly painful and affects my whole system, so today I have to stay home and rest my foot as much as possible. Harriet is away, hence the change of hours and routine since Thursday.
My sincere apologies for the inconvenience and I will be back on Tuesday.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the lovely comments, messages & visits we have received since our announcement about the shop.

There has been some speculation about why I (Harriet) don’t plan to stay working in the shop full time so I wanted to clear that up.
I didn’t realise that a lot of our customers didn’t know that we have other family businesses. I have worked for my Dad for nearly 9 years, with the responsibility of overseeing the running of the office & staff. As well as well as finance, budgeting & all that boring corporate stuff.
As Dad’s business continues to expand, employing more production and admin staff there has been a rise in my workload.

On top of this, I run the Artisan Markets at Millstream Square which inspired the concept of ‘indi- the online artisan marketplace’ that we have been building for 18 months, and is about to go live.

I am sad to say goodbye to Souls after nearly 5 years but the demands for my time have increased elsewhere and with Mum unable to physically run the shop alone we had to make this choice.

We have decided that our final day will be Saturday 3rd June, when the next Artisan Market is on & we hope you will all pop in to see us!

5 years ago we realised a long-held dream and opened our own shop, selling beautiful high quality ladies clothing.

What we didn’t anticipate was Mums (Lucille) deteriorating health and other changes to our personal circumstances.

After months of careful consideration and some lengthy family discussions we’ve decided that we are no longer able to continue with the shop.

However we do not want to see it close and are therefore hopeful that a like minded person will seize this opportunity to take on the Souls brand and continue to build on the foundations that we have created.

If you’ve ever considered or dreamed of owning your own business then we would love to talk to you.

The branding, website & shop layout amongst other things have all been tried and tested for you. We have also built up a fabulous supportive customer base who I know, like us, would love to continue to shop at Souls.

We will be saddened to step down from our roles here at Souls but we look forward to the possibility of someone putting their own mark on it & continuing to grow the brand.
