Many of you in North Devon will know Sally... she’s been a familiar face at her base in South Molton, at pop-ups and home visits, fitting little feet with care, expertise and a big smile for the past four years.

Over that time, she’s built a brilliant reputation and a loyal customer base of local families who trust her advice and love our focus on healthy, well-fitting shoes, especially barefoot-friendly options.

Now, due to a change in personal circumstances, Sally has decided it’s time for her next chapter.

Which means… there’s an exciting opportunity for someone new to take the reins. You’d be stepping into a well-established business with a great local presence and fantastic potential to grow.

Hooray! It’s ’Measure Your Feet’ day today!

Why faff about with a sharpie and a tape measure when you can let me take the stress out of the guesswork??

It’s so important that you measure and fit check shoes regularly; in the early years it’s recommended to do this at least every 8 weeks.

Little feet are too precious to be squashed into ill fitting shoes; and this could cause damage to foot development. So, if you’re due a measure then head to my booking page at www.ceceandme.co.uk. I’ve got some morning availability for the next couple of weeks.

(And don’t forget your own feet! Female feet can grow a whole size during pregnancy and may not return to their ‘usual’ size!)

I’ll be at Toddlerfest this Sunday with my measuring gauge and a small selection of shoes, wellies and slippers, and lots of toys. I think I’ve got a gazebo spot, so fingers crossed for a dry-ish day.

Did you know I have a loyalty card scheme? I fill in a footprint for every pair of shoes you buy and you’ll receive 20% off the sixth pair. All siblings can use the same card and if you’re buying more than one pair on the qualifying visit, I’ll always discount the more expensive pair. I even keep the card at the shop for you, so it’s one less thing to remember. If you’ve been recently and I haven’t mentioned the loyalty scheme (I mostly always forget!) chances are I’ve already filled one out for you :-)

If your child(ren) will be out and about in South Molton this holiday, do let them know that the library is a safe space that they can use. If they get a bit hot or hungry, we have tea, coffee, water and biscuits available all the time for free. If they need to call home and have run out of battery/credit, they are welcome to use our phone. If they have run out of sanitary products, we now have a hygiene bank available to all. If they have had a quarrel with friends, we are a nice place to chill out for a bit and our staff are great at listening! Whatever the problem, we will always try and help if we can.
Please note that children who are under 8 need to have a supervising adult with them at the library.

Come along to the South Molton Community Primary School Summer Fair tomorrow afternoon from 3.20
This will be a raffle prize, along with an hours flight in a light aircraft for 2 people, a family ticket to digger land, and a pass to Junglaroo!
There’s cakes to eat, drinks to drink, food to buy, and games to enjoy.
Add a fire engine and a jeep all the way from world war 2 and what more could you possibly want? Pimms you say?? Well, we’ve got that as well 🙂

Some more gorgeous sandals delivered yesterday! I’ve got these three up to EU29 (child 11) and they’re perfect for this time of year, with or without socks, dressed up or dressed down. Come and give them a try.
