My story...
How did Happy Daffodil Crafts begin..?
My name is Rachel and I make hand embroidery gifts. It was a hidden talent that I didn't really discover I had until I was expecting my first child at the age of 24. I was 6 months pregnant and had decided to make a gift for my first born child.
One night I woke full of bright ideas. I began searching around the house in the middle of the night for a pad and pen to draw and design my bursting ideas. I had decided I was going to make her a nappy stacker, a gift from myself after having no luck searching for the perfect gift for her.
I had never made a nappy stacker before and did not even know how to make one... I just went on a whimsical idea that I was experimenting with. The pink nappy stacker with the windmill in my pictures was the end result of a my amusing experience.
It was the very first thing I ever made and I still have it now in a display cabinet as a reminder of the notion that anything is possible. It was quite an advanced piece to create for a beginner... but i enjoyed every moment of it. This was the moment I discovered I had a talent for hand embroidery and I have been making gifts ever since. I find it very therapeutic.
I first started out as Rachel's Crazy Embroidery in 2014. I had made so many I could not store them all so this was when I began to sell what I had made. Unfortunately I had to stop making gifts for a short while, unexpectedly, but I began making handmade embroidery gifts again after a few years break. This was when I rebranded as Happy Daffodil Crafts. In 2022, unfortunately, my old page was hacked and became inundated with random adverts and more troublesome hackers and I didn't know how yo address the issues.
Now in 2024 I am ready to make hand embroidered gifts again. I am looking forwards to making more exciting creations, very much so keep an eye on my page for my wonderful new creations, gifts and more.
