A little memory lane indulgence today.

Apart from my own wedding dress, 7 years, this is the only other wedding dress I've made this century!!! 😲

The gorgeous Angela gave me a bag full of this stunning sari fabric and told me I could make what I wanted!! What a dream bride 💛

When I finally let her see the bodice she cried and I knew I'd got it right!!

Sometimes I have the absolute pleasure of working on stunning vintage pieces from some of the world's best designers.

These were delicate hand sewn repairs on 2 stunning Christian Dior pieces (the black dress was hired by Raye last year)

Wedding season is upon us again. This is a throwback to a stunning Milla Nova gown I had the pleasure of resizing last year. I also added sead pearls to the delicate flower decoration round the bodice. Just to add that little something extra

Throwback Friday

This stunning dress from Temperley Bridal London was the absolute perfect choice for the lovely Polly for her Pagan Hand Tying Ceremony to John, just one problem, it didn't fit & wasn't available in her size!!

Enter me!!

I unpicked the black bias binding trim, cut into the tulle, added contrasting fabric godets, I made black Catherine wheels to add to the black ribbon detail to make everything flow as if it had always been there! Obviously, the lining was altered too!

Result ...... a stunning dress that gits perfectly. I think the smile on Polly's face in the photo taken by says it all. One very happy client

Prom season is just around the corner.

Here’s a tiny snippet of some of the many dresses I’ve altered over the last few years.
From the smallest ‘can you just take the shoulder straps up?’ To the ‘we brought the wrong size, can you completely take it to pieces and remake it to fit?’ And then there was the ‘Deb, you remember my wedding dress (from over 20 yrs ago!) can you cut the bodice up and make it fit my daughter?’

I’ve had them all. 🤣😊

Can I just say, if you are interested in making a booking, please get in early because spaces are limited. Unfortunately the days of working 7 days a week till stupid o’clock are over.

Any enquiries please text or WhatsApp if possible, I’m notoriously bad at answering the phone, it comes with being the receptionist, seamstress, social media & website designer, cleaner, tea maker , the list goes on 🤣🤣🤣

Secret alterations for a very special lady last week

This stunning blue sequin dress by Caroline Kilkenny needed a little hand sewing to the bottom of the ‘sleeves’. And the gorgeous white knitted waistcoat had the buttons removed before I stitched the front shut and reapplied the buttons.

What an amazing inspirational lady!!! Just WOW!!!!

A real pleasure to meet such a warrior, even if I did think it was a spoof enquiry 😳🤣 sorry Beverley 😬😘
