For a long time, hiding in the dark felt like the only bloody option. When you are fighting a relentless fu***ng war inside your own head, just waking up and getting through the day is exhausting. The reality of living with PTSD and the heavy, suffocating weight of suicidal thoughts isn't something you can easily slap a filter on for social media. It is a daily, desperate scrap to find a reason to stick around when your own brain is trying to pull you under. I spent years standing on that terrifying edge, carrying a weight I honestly thought would finish me off.
βBut here I am. Still breathing, still fighting, and finally backing myself. Society loves to tell women that by 41 you should have it all neatly sorted and your best days are done. Absolute bo****ks. My life feels like it has only just begun. Stripping back the trauma and sacking off the endless pressure to please everyone else has finally let me meet the unapologetic woman I was always meant to be.
βSurviving all that s**t has given me the fire to pour my absolute soul into building Coven & Court. Setting up this business isn't just about opening a shop. It is about taking the dark romance, gothic luxe, and unconventional beauty I found in my own survival and building a proper sanctuary for it in an old cotton mill. It is about creating a space where others can step into their own fierce, authentic power, just like I am doing.
βWhat you see in this pic, isn't me fishing for compliments or looking for anyone's approval. I couldn't give a toss about that anymore. It is a quiet, personal celebration of surviving. It proves that you can shatter into a million fu***ng pieces and still put yourself back together into something completely resilient.
βToday is World Su***de Prevention Day. I am sharing my truth to stand as living proof that your darkest days do not have to be the end of your story. If you are trapped in that suffocating headspace right now, please know the world is genuinely better with you in it. You do not have to fight this on your own. There is a deeply beautiful, entirely new life waiting for you on the other side of the storm. Please, stick around to see it.
