I loved my first market! It wasn’t crazy busy but definitely enough sales to make it worth my while- also met some fab makers and punters while learning a lot. The prep for it was exhausting I have to admit. We are thinking that markets will be a 4 times a year thing for us and that over time we will hopefully learn which ones are best for us 🤓

Very excited for my first market tomorrow at the Kippen village market. Even if I sell a couple of tea towels I don’t think I’ll mind as seeing this as a chance to meet other makers and see what setting up a stall is like…I have a feeling harder than it looks.

Mandala dyeing tea towels appears to have become my favourite thing to do lately… Making some of these for these for the Kippen Village market next weekend so hopefully some will find new homes 🤓

A beautiful day yesterday dyeing lots of tea towels and tote bags in a traditional indigo dye bath using the ancient Japanese shibori method. It’s a very mindful process and the unbinding/rinse out stage is always such a lovely surprise.
