I have honestly lost count of how many fashion shows weāve done over the years. Carrying on with small business week thought Iād throw back to those wonderful times
And Iām so sorry Iāve only managed to find these photos so far... there are hundreds more somewhere that I need to dig out!
Our very first fashion show was back in 2008 at Room 311, just down the road from the shop. It was part of our launch party and it was an absolute hit. I donāt think we ever looked back after that.
Social media was only just becoming a thing back then, so if you wanted people to know who you were, you had to get out there and make things happen.
Weāve done fashion shows in car showrooms, churches, restaurants, village halls, at the WI... pretty much anywhere that would have us.
Weāve squeezed models into tiny toilets to get changed, steamed clothes in cupboards, balanced mirrors on chairs, prayed heels wouldnāt snap and somehow always pulled it together.
Looking back now, itās been one hell of a ride.
So if youāve ever modelled for us, come to one of our shows, helped backstage, volunteered, hosted us, lent us a changing room, or simply bought a ticket and supported us...
