This weekend we celebrated Pride month and it was everything.

Complicated Co. was built for people who don’t fit the mould. People whose lives are layered, whose identities don’t fit neatly into a box, who’ve been told they’re too much or not enough.

That’s all of us, in different ways. But some of us feel it more than others.
This month, and every month, this brand, this coaching practice, and this podcast exist for the complicated ones.

The ones still figuring it out. The ones who’ve already figured it out and are living it loudly. And everyone in between.

Life is complicated. Particularly when the world hasn’t quite caught up with who you are yet.

We took the Offline question to Oxford Street.

A mum who said her kids notice every time she picks up her phone.
A professional tennis player who goes offline every single day.
A uni student in her last few weeks who said there’s “always a temptation to just check quickly.”
David Beckham joining in and someone who said being offline means “literally chucking this out the window.”

“They definitely notice. Kids are great at telling us off.” That one hit differently.

I know — the irony of saying that into a phone is not lost on me.

But here’s the thing. We’ve built our entire lives around a screen. Doctor’s appointments. Banking. Staying in touch. The algorithm. All of it. And somewhere in the middle of all that scrolling, we forgot how to just... be present.

That’s why Offline exists. Not as a statement. As a reminder.
