This classic stripe is available to order from stocked yarns. It is 'weft face' which allows to us to weave with our stocked yarns at a MOQ of 15m.

It's amazing how much the entire character of a stripe can shift, from bold and graphic to soft and tonal, without changing the structure of the cloth at all.

If you are working on a project that needs a stripe, come and explore what is possible with us.

Our archive contains a wide range of historic stripe references drawn from period interiors, original documents, and surviving examples of antique cloth. We work with clients to recreate these faithfully, or to adapt them for a specific project, whether that is curtains, wall hangings, upholstery, or a ceremonial interior.

These figured stipes work beautifully in interiors.

If you have a commission in mind, we would be glad to hear about it. Get in touch via [email protected]

During New York Design Week, Charlotte thoroughly enjoyed hearing about the different perspectives and dynamics between interior designers, construction and architects. It an fun envjiroment in New York, surrounded by Tea & delicious cakes, discussing US & UK interiors. The importance of having a strong working relationship with the team as a whole creates creative energy.

What Charlotte was struck with most was the importance of craftsmanship, heritage skills & precise manufacturing, enabling historic and contemporary design to come to life. Which felt deeply connected to Humphries Weaving ethos.

An inspiring afternoon in New York bringing together perspectives from architecture, interiors and construction for a conversation on transatlantic design, craftsmanship and collaboration at the showroom.

Alongside of and Henriette von Stockhausen of , Ed Reis joined the panel to discuss how traditional architectural language, craftsmanship and contemporary living continue to shape residential projects on both sides of the Atlantic.

Moderated by Merlin Wright of Plain English, the discussion explored the importance of collaboration across every stage of a project and the lasting value of well-made spaces.

Last month, Charlotte was in New York, meeting wonderful customers throughout the city. Here are a couple of details which caught her eye, including eating in Grand Central, built by Whitney Warren, Charles Wetmore, Charles A. Reed and Allen H. Stem. Thankful that Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and the Landmarks Preservation Commission designated Grand Central Terminal as a landmark and saved the building from demolition in the 1960's.

Natalie Mumford, Richard Humphries and Charlotte Bainbridge had the pleasure of attending the Worshipful Company of Weavers' May Dinner last month. It was a fantastic evening & happily coincided with the announcement of receiving a Royal Warrant by appointment to His Majesty the King as manufacturer of Walling Silk and Furnishing Fabrics.

From Tammy's through to Silky sateen's, we can weave a beautiful plain fabric which can be the main focus or a perfect choice for a damask. We can recommend suitable historic plains if this is required or purely to go with a new or existing interior scheme.

Alles is Omgekeerd is a private home in Middelburg , the Netherlands, with a rich history. The name of our house means that “everything is upside down” or “everything can change.” The original house was built in 1587, with major renovations in 1723 and 1844. The house was used as a print shop for the best part of the 20th century, until it became neglected and unused. In 2021 we collaborated with the current homeowners to lovingly restore their living room walling.
