I was asked by a lovely customer to make some removable covers for some kitchen/bar stools. These were to match some cushions that I covered earlier in the year. Really pleased with the result. Here are the before and after pictures.

One of my lovely customers came to me a few weeks ago and asked me to make a dress for her. The back story is:
About 40 years ago her husband bought her some fabric with a view to having something made up from it. Over the years it stayed forgotten in a cupboard. She decided to surprise him on their wedding anniversary by wearing a dress made up from that very same fabric. We teamed it with a contrast colour and I made it for her. Apparently he loved it!❤️

I was recently asked if I do clothing alterations as there are no pictures on my page. The answer is yes I alter men, women and children’s clothes. There are not many pictures on here as I respect my customers privacy. Not everyone wants a before and after picture putting online.
Here is a condensed list of the alterations I get asked to do the most. Anything else, I would be happy to alter.

*Trousers, skirts and dresses shortened and taken in.
*Suits altered.
*New zips put in jeans, coats and jackets
*Clothing reshaped. (That can be any article of clothing from coats to dresses and trousers)
*Bridesmaids and prom dress alterations.
*Bride dress alterations.
*Knitwear

Also happy to help with last minute and very small jobs. 🥰

I was given a pair of FFC curtains and asked to make a man’s shirt from them. No
pattern, just a shirt to copy.
Pretty pleased pleased with the result!!

I have just recovered a very old lampshade, trying to return it to its former glory with a slight modern twist, only using an old scarf and a piece of lace. Probably one of the most challenging jobs I have done.

I have an unusual request. I was asked to mend this very old porcelain doll. I have managed to reattach the arm and one foot but the second foot is missing. Does anyone have an old or unused doll that I could use to make a new foot. The foot is about 7 cm long. I have looked in the local charity shops but any dolls that I found are too good to be used. Thank you.x

Forgot to do a before picture. I was asked to recover an old quilted headboard where the fabric had started to disintegrate. Recovered in a plush green velvet. A more contemporary finish bringing it up to date.
