I was told today that my donation has gone to a boy who is at school. He's already received the bone marrow. I've agreed to be his done for the next 2 years just in case he needs another one, then it will be back on the register for me.

Up until now, the full magnitude of what I did hadn't hit home. Until I realised that I've given a family a 2nd chance at a future together!

I have been matched with someone who needs a bone marrow transplant. My donation journey starts on Wednesday with a trip down to Laaandan for my medical, then donation in January.
