One of the ‘noble fibres’ alpaca is prized for its silky feel, weightlessness and warmth, and come in a variety of natural and dyed shades in DK, aran and 4-ply weights. All our yarns are processed at the traditional mills in the north of England and have traceable provenance to British alpaca farmers. We buy fleece from alpaca owners in the UK, hand grade it at our farm in Devon and then process

into fully worsted hand knit and commercial yarns. Our yarns are made to the highest specification and are of a consistent quality. They are fully conditioned and their consistent quality, super softness of handle, warmth, lightweight and strength are all hallmarks of these yarns. UK Alpaca supports British alpaca owners by promoting a quality reputation and brand for British alpaca. We supply to both retail and trade, designers and actively support students in their final year projects.
