try with a twist, is how I would describe my products. My small business was born due to filling long winter evenings by my fire in my cottage. I wanted to create beautiful, bespoke, personalised items for people, just looking for that 'something special.' Being a farmer's daughter and having a love of heritage fabrics it was fitting that I use British Tweeds in my designs which in turn supports British Agriculture and also a way of using sustainable materials. The products that I create are in a classic style that are timeless, and rather than a trend, are a way of life. I pride myself in making my products in the old fashion, traditional way. I have always obsessed over the quality and craftsmanship of products, after all, I can remember, there is nothing quite like the look of the perfectly crafted, high-quality item. There is nothing more delightful to see than that of timeless elegance and quality.

✨ Two more of my handmade cotton Victorian ruffle collars are spreading their wings today — off to their lovely new home near Lake Orion, Michigan, USA. I absolutely love seeing where my creations travel, and these two are heading out in style, just as they deserve.

Fresh from the sewing machine last night, pressed to perfection, and ready to be adored. And can we talk about the colours this lovely customer chose? Denim Blue and Bright Red — wonderfully country, beautifully bold, and effortlessly classy.

✨ Bespoke Order Heading to Its New Home! ✨

I’ve absolutely loved working on this beautiful bespoke fabric memo board — especially because my customer chose a stunning new fabric I’d just added to my (very large!) fabric collection. Did I need it? Probably not. Did I buy it anyway because it was too beautiful to resist? Absolutely… and I’m sticking to that excuse.

The board turned out beautifully and will be winging its way to its new home in the next few days.

Finishing this piece also gave me the nudge I needed to complete a few other noticeboards that had been waiting patiently — and I even created a brand‑new one using the same fabric, but featuring a different scene from the print. I couldn’t wait to show you, so I’ve uploaded photos of them all.

All of this happened in between cutting and strimming the lawn, picking strawberries, and upcycling more gentlemen’s shirts. They’re washed, drying on the line, and will be photographed and uploaded once they’ve had a good iron.

What a difference a bit of lovely weather makes when you’ve got a long list of jobs to tackle and some creativity to unleash.

Off to the post office again today — I’ve been there so often lately they were practically ready to offer me a job! 📦✨

I’m thrilled to say that all but one of my recent custom orders are now finished and on their way to their new homes. Fingers crossed my new boxes arrive today (they were meant to be here yesterday!) so I can send off the final piece in time for its big debut at Ascot next week.

There have definitely been some late nights and a lot of coffee involved, but seeing each bespoke idea come to life has been worth every moment. It’s such a joy to take someone’s vision and turn it into a finished creation they can treasure. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has trusted me with their special orders. Here are a few of them.

I’ve already got a few beautiful commissions lined up for July weddings, so after a couple of early nights, I’ll be diving straight into the next round of bespoke pieces.

Some weeks in my workshop feel like a breeze… and others arrive like a whirlwind of last‑minute creativity. This week has definitely been the whirlwind ✨

A flurry of bespoke orders has come in for weddings and Ascot — beautiful requests, meaningful occasions, and customers I simply can’t say no to. It’s going to be a tight turnaround to have everything ready for next week, but each piece will be made with the same care, precision, and high standards I hold myself to.

So yes… there will be late nights.
There will be lots of coffee.
And there will be one very determined lady making sure every hat leaves this workshop looking its absolute best.

I would rather lose a little sleep than ever send out something that feels rushed or “thrown together.” My customers trust me with their special moments — and that trust means everything.

Here’s to a busy, beautiful week of creating magic for the people who make this business worthwhile ❤️

Wow, the upcycled shirts were SUCH a hit at the Bicton International Horse Trials a couple of weekends ago! I made 20 shirts and only 4 came back home with me—the rest are flying all over the world, from Surrey to Japan, Berkshire to the USA. One lovely lady loved them so much she bought three! Thank you all for the amazing support. I can’t wait to receive your shirts to customise for you.

I’ve already made three more this week to start replenishing the collection. While I’m busy with last-minute orders for Ascot and weddings, I’ll be making more shirts as and when I can.

I hope to have them uploaded on the website soon, but if you want any info or want to grab one early, please don’t hesitate to get in touch! I’ll also be sharing new designs here on Facebook and Instagram as they’re ready.

Happy Monday everyone.

This week begins with a trip to the post office as we send some of our beautiful handmade creations off to their new homes ✨📦

Our elegant Evelyn fascinator is starting her journey travelling across the ocean, all the way to the beautiful state of Delaware in America, where it will be worn by a lovely lady heading to church on Sundays. Meanwhile, one of our handcrafted hessian garlands is travelling to Bournemouth, ready to be displayed beside the seaside, beside the sea.

It brings us so much delight knowing that our pieces will become part of special moments and cherished spaces near and far. Thank you for supporting my bespoke, handmade business and recognising our craftsmanship ❤️
