What a dress to get into the swing of things with!
Kristina had chosen the most beautiful and versatile dress for her wedding day, it featured a slit at the front, detachable train and sleeves, overall a very unique dress! It was just a *tad* too big 😅
The main alterations we worked on together were:
* Shoulder Lift
* Hem Lift
* Full bodice refit
* Bustle
* Small repairs

I think you’ll all agree the final result is stunning!

A beautiful gown on the sewing table today. So far the shoulders and hem have been lifted, the centre front closed a little for modesty and as you see the final amendments are to the bust and bring the dress in through the side seam.

I’ve finally found a moment to celebrate 5 years since starting my alterations business and I kinda can’t believe how quick it’s all gone… ✨
These first 5 years have taught me so much and I can only continue to grow and learn along the way.

Just because it’s functional, doesn’t mean it can’t also be beautiful ✨

Most dresses have gorgeous, long trains with details that can’t go to waste. Make the most of them when it comes to your bustle placement, so that you don’t have to compromise on style or comfort ☺️

This particular dress has both an under and over bustle to ensure support and not lose the lace detailing through the length of the train ✨
