Sometimes the best business meetings happen in an artist's studio over tea and homemade brownies.

We had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with talented lino print artist Jessica Rose Jessica Rose , visiting her beautiful studio in Shrewsbury. In the sunshine, with raspberry and white chocolate brownies fresh from the oven, we chatted about creativity, craftsmanship and the stories behind her work.

Jessica showed us the fascinating process of linocutting – carving a design into lino by hand before inking it and printing it on a wonderful old Victorian-style hand-pulled press. Every print carries the character of the handmade process, making each one feel special.

She also explained the difference between etching and linocutting, giving us a real appreciation for the skill, patience and tradition behind these printmaking techniques.

Days like these remind us why we love what we do. Building relationships with artists and understanding the stories behind the artwork helps us share that passion with our collectors.

NEW ARRIVALS – ROBERT LENKIEWICZ 🎨
We've been busy behind the scenes, and we're particularly excited about this new collection.
Robert Lenkiewicz was no ordinary artist.
He was fascinated by people, human behaviour and the stories that often go unnoticed. His huge artistic "Projects" explored subjects ranging from homelessness and old age to love, obsession and death.
He called many of his subjects "the invisible people."
And then there's the fact that he once famously faked his own death! 😂
His life and work were anything but conventional.
There's also a fantastic Birmingham connection. In 1994, Lenkiewicz exhibited at Birmingham's International Convention Centre, attracting more than 35,000 visitors in a single week.
We've now acquired a collection of signed limited edition Robert Lenkiewicz prints, and we're really excited to make them available to collectors.
If you love artwork with personality, history and a story to tell, these are definitely worth discovering.

Well done to the team at Pershore Volunteer Centre for completing the Malvern challenge, if anyone can help with donations for this wonderful cause, helping the elderly with appointments, friendships groups and combatting loneliness, please support them

An older resident in one of the villages around Pershore hasn't left their home in days. No family nearby. No way to get to the shops. No friendly face to see.

Then a Pershore Plus driver pulls up - and everything shifts. A lift to the doctor becomes a conversation. A lunch club becomes a lifeline. A simple journey becomes the moment someone feels seen again.

We create moments like this over 5,000 times a year - tackling loneliness and isolation across Pershore and 40 surrounding villages through transport, activities and community groups that keep people independent, connected and out of crisis.

But the need is growing, and reaching further means we need you. 💛

Just yesterday, our team took on the Malvern Hills Challenge! With an average age of just under 60, we completed 15 peaks over 13 miles in 5 hours, but we crossed that finish line donning our sponsorship T-Shirts!

No gallery. No high street shop. Just conversations about art.

One of the questions I'm often asked is, "Where's your gallery?"

The answer is... we don't have one.

That means I have to think differently.

Instead of waiting for people to walk through a door, I go out and meet them. I spend a lot of time networking, building relationships with referral partners, interior designers, businesses, collectors and people who simply enjoy art.

And wherever I go, a painting usually comes with me.

Every networking meeting becomes an opportunity to introduce an artist to a brand new room full of people. I get to share the stories behind the artwork, the artists who created it, and why a particular piece connects with people.

I love seeing someone's reaction when they realise that owning original art isn't always expensive and isn't just for galleries or seasoned collectors. Art belongs in homes, offices and everyday spaces, and sometimes all it takes is someone starting the conversation.

This week I took two very different paintings to five networking meetings. One was bold, colourful and contemporary. The other had survived a fire, and its artist had survived a near-drowning as a child. It was fascinating to see which conversations each painting started. It reminded me that people don't always connect with art because of the style. Sometimes they connect because of the story.

Not having a gallery has made me more creative, more connected and, I think, a better art dealer. It encourages me to take art to people who may never have thought about buying it before.
