Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year!✨

First of all, I’d like to say a huge thank you to my wonderful clients for another enjoyably busy year of sewing. I really do appreciate every time you choose me to alter your everyday and special-occasion outfits for a tailored fit, trust me to rejuvenate your treasured favourites, share creative ideas for refreshing your wardrobe, or place your confidence in me to carefully update the fit and restore the finish of a special vintage garment.

Thank you too for all the times you have enthusiastically referred friends and family to me, and kindly recommended me on Facebook. It’s been such an interesting and varied year, and I’m very grateful.

I’d also like to acknowledge that there have been times—particularly recently—when I haven’t been as available as I’d like. Sewing is not my full time occupation, and there can be periods during the year when I need to limit my sewing workload, or put it on hold while I focus on other commitments. Having a dedicated business page can understandably give the impression that I’m always available, which must be frustrating when that isn’t the case.

With all this in mind, I’ve decided to close this public page and move to WhatsApp for enquiries instead.

Have I mentioned how much I like making pockets? 🙂 My customer had some lovely soft fabric from an old shirt that matched her denim dress perfectly - we made some roomy pockets to go into the side seams, anchoring them to the seam above inside to help take the weight of their contents and stop them flapping about annoyingly! 🧵

And for the same wedding I also had the pleasure of altering the Mother of the Bride's gorgeous flowy silk dress, which needed just a few adjustments to the neckline and sleeves to refine the fit. Such a beautiful shape and print 💕
