Taking a nice sunny opportunity to snap some Etsy orders flying the nest today. With Etsy being my main sales channel these days, I’ve made the somewhat difficult decision to close down my website at the end of March. Having kept my business as a side hustle since shifting to working full time in 2019 (!) has been so much fun, and I’m so incredibly grateful for each and every order that comes in, but it feels right for a bit of a step change. Happy long Easter weekend everyone!! Feels like the end is nearly in sight for us all, now that we have a bonafide excuse to wear sunnies (see pic of Glasses Case in Picnic) and gather outdoors I can’t help but feel optimistic!

Market trading has been the backbone of my business since I begun, I used to head to Bridport each and every Saturday morning to set up pitch on South Street amongst the egg seller (Merv ❤️) and other incredible small businesses both starting up or well established. It was always a fun unpredictable day which never went quite how I expected but that’s what I love about market selling. You never know who you might meet or what it might lead to. And you generally get to be outside all day long, whatever the weather, which is something I cherish when these days I get stuck inside beavering away for weeks on end. The camaraderie between traders is always second to none and at that point in my business, Bridport market was the main social event of my week (sad but true!)

Everything crossed that very soon we will all be able to trade again, in person, but in the meantime these virtual markets are where it’s at!

Today is also the most excellent a market so very close to my heart. I’ve been selling here for the past few years and the physical markets are just second to none. The Glastonbury of markets basically ! (Don’t even get me started on all the food 🐽).
