The Launer factory is in Walsall, near Birmingham, the traditional home of leather goods manufacturing in England. Launer wallets, card cases, purses and handbags are handmade in the softest calf. Every attention is paid to detail, and gold plated fittings feature the Launer rope emblem, the perfect finishing touch.

We celebrated an incredible event recently in the historic surroundings of The King’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace, and are delighted to share some of the highlights with you.

It was a night of prestige and celebration, where guests were invited on behalf of Launer and the Royal Collection Trust to an exclusive private viewing of Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life In Style, located in the magnificent The King’s Gallery.

As the gallery filled, the atmosphere was one of excitement and anticipation. The exhibition provided a fascinating talking point throughout the evening, and it was remarkable to view the carefully curated collection of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in such an intimate setting.

We were honoured to see so many attendees from both the UK and overseas, many of whom had travelled especially for the occasion. It was a particularly proud moment to see guests carrying their cherished Launer bags with them.

Caroline de Guitaut, curator to the exhibition delivered a wonderful speech that captivated the audience, followed by our CEO, Gerald Bodmer. His words were especially poignant as he mentioned his lifelong passion for music and craftsmanship.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended and helped make the evening so memorable.

Yesterday Queen Camilla celebrated the founding of the Royal Hospital Chelsea by paying tribute to the “courage, discipline, loyalty” of its famous pensioners.

For the occasion she chose the beautiful Bella bag from our Launer X Sanderson collaboration in rose and peony.

A stunning floral design, which first appeared as a wallpaper in 1914 and as a fabric in 1929. A rich mix of botanicals - varied in scale, shape and form - are layered to create a lush, multidirectional composition. This floral symphony blooms across the exterior of the bag, whilst the interior features plush suede in a complementary pink hue, accented by a Dusky Rose leather reverse flap.

For every bag sold from the Launer x Sanderson collection, Launer will donate a percentage to QEST, the charity that invests in the future of British craft.
