Hi I am Clair, I started out with my creative side after taking sick with M.E, Fibromyalgia and F.N.D amongst other thing. I initially retrained in the art of floristry this took 3 years or me life and I loved every minute. Unfortunately my health declined a lot further i am now bed bound the majority of the time but I have always loved fashion and the arts. This has given me the opportunity to do
something I love even from my bed. My work is one of a kind I will never make a piece exactly the same again. I draw inspiration from so many things I see and let the customer explain their vision before I bring it to life. I can make some smaller pieces as rush jobs, however as I only make a few ready to wear hats as much time as possible is needed for bespoke pieces so I can source the materials and bring our combined vision to life. I have been training with some of our country’s top milliners to learn the art of millinery and by doing so I am confident in the skill and quality of my work. All feathers used are from ethical sources, fabrics and embellishments are all stitched by hand for quality purposes. I do sometimes use a sewing machine to hem fabrics before I use it, this is purely because some fabrics will fray easily if not hemmed. Consultations are available by video call as well as from a good cafe close to where I live, for colour purposes a photograph or swatch of fabrics are required.
