A week left of weaving

Time for a pivot 🌿

With little baba on the way and after a really difficult few months I am making the decision to close my little shop and studio on the 1st July.

This is not the end of my weaving practice but just a readjustment whilst I become a mum for the first time.

I love my little creative home and it has been a tough decision to make. But sometimes the decision making is the hardest part, I can now look to the exciting things that are to come and have a reset.

The four walls will be changing but I will still continue with my work online and hopefully look to reopen in a new space when the time is right.

I hope you will come find me wherever that might be. Watch this space for updates.

In the meantime, I will be here at The Old Dairy Farm only until Saturday 1st, celebrating my shops 3rd birthday, my last day here and all the new that is to come!

Mid May

And just like that my studio shop will be turning 3 in little over a month! Perfectly in time as we will also be welcoming a new addition …. Our little one is due to arrive mid July 🌿

Overwhelmed with excitement but also trying to figure out how to make my studio shop work around this little wonder, and it’s still a work in progress. The last few months have been the trickiest yet

Workshops wil be running to the end of June and the shop will be open right up until the little one is here. Then I will be closing for a wee while… hoping (with fingers crossed) to be back up and running to be able to enjoy the late summer in the shop.

As a thought, I will be looking for any weavers/ crafts people to rent out half of my studio. For a couple of weeks/ a month… pop up shop? Workspace? With or without my counterbalance loom. Do get in touch if you are interested

🧶 RiverKnits Open Day Exhibitor 🌈

Hana Brough is a great advocate for locally sourced fibres and sustainable crafting. These values underpin her handwoven textiles that she turns into soft furnishings and accessories, including our Northampton Shear project bags. Her calm and light-filled studio and shop is just down the road from us at the Dairy Farm Crafts centre in Stowe, but we’ve managed to tempt her out of it for the day. Come along to support a skilled local craftswoman and have a chat with her about her weaving workshops.
