My current work consists of handmade bespoke curtains, bedspreads, upholstery, roman blinds, voiles, cushions, everything soft furnishing and even a spot of dressmaking. I also do clothes alterations along with wedding dress alterartions. I have completed a number of wedding dress alterations but most recently I had the opportunity to alter my now daughter-in-law's wedding dress which involved bri
nging in the dress a couple of inches by unpicking all the intricate lace and beading and hand stitching it all back on. It was a lot of work but so worth it and I was very proud of the results. My Daughter-in-law was too and her picture can be found above. I started sewing from a young age & when I left school I worked in a dress fabric shop. I spent most of my wages buying new fabrics and making my own clothes. When I moved to Worthing, I trained in the manufacture of soft furnishings, curtains, blinds and upholstery. My passion for the textile industry grew and I started my own business from home in 1989 so I could provide the personal and unique service I now offer. Some of my bigger projects have ranged from complete hotel soft furnishings, to show flats & grand stately homes. Each project offering something truly unique, personal & tailored to suit their individual needs but no job is too small. If you are interested in any of the services I offer, please contact me by email or mobile. I can arrange to discuss your requirements, fabric choices etc. and give a free no obligation estimate.
