A sunny Roman blind for a sunny client! Fabric designed by client. Lined with bonded blackout lining to give blind body and light blocking qualities. All hand sewn and installed on chain operated rail affixed inside window recess. Did someone say Springs here? 🌻🌼🌷🌞😀

First completed job for 2023. Lined, hand finished Euro pleat curtains, adding the desired cosiness to my clients gorgeous room. Curtains can really improve the energy efficiency of your room, reduce outside noise and inside acoustics are improved, as well as adding a snug feel to any room. The colours chosen by my clients are 👌🏻. Fabric is Avalon by Clarke & Clarke in Monterey Spice colourway. 😍

Fabric samples from Linwood fabrics came today and I’m so impressed with the colour and quality. My favourite is this Omega print in melon colour way, as seen on the Roman blind in the picture. Perfect pop of colour and fun geometric print against dark walls 🥰

Hope this post finds you all well after this quite crazy year of turbulence. Apologies for being quiet on here but I’ve been far from quiet! The last year has been quite frenetic! In fact, that’s the reason for this post... I need to take a break! I’ve been working full time shift work and sewing in every spare available moment, and I wouldn’t say I’m burned out, but I need to catch up with my children and am doing a bit of flat renovation work, so I’ll be taking some time out. My studio will no doubt be full of kitchen and bathroom materials from June, so it seems fitting that I give myself a summer off... something I’ve not really had for a few years! My books are full until the end of May, so I’ll be back in September 👋🏼💕. Thank you everyone who has supported me and kept me going. Much love to you all ###
