Almost time for day 2 of The Wool Monty the eagle eyed of you will spot that my stall is considerably less full than yesterday. If you are coming today and had your eye on something that has sold out just let me know and I’ll probably be able to make another one.

Saturday sewing, no such thing as a weekend off when I’m prepping for an event, I’m sure time speeds up in the run up to a yarn show! Actually on a cool damp miserable day it’s no hardship to be indoors in my sewing room, but what’s the betting that summer will return next weekend when I’ll be indoors at

Pinch punch, the first of the month, can you believe it’s June already? May just flew by and we have spent the last few days of the month enjoying some down time in Kent, an area of the country that neither of us have really visited before but so much to see and do that hopefully we will be back.
The highlights were the first Pimms of the season on the beach at Whitstable watching the sun go down, a fabulous spa day on Saturday, no pictures though, and a visit to Canterbury yesterday. I had visited once before back when I was in sixth form and I was invited to an open day/interview at the university, unfortunately I didn’t get the required grades in my A levels so it wasn’t to be, but had I studied harder my life could have taken a very different path, anyway I’m a big believer in things happening for a reason.
We are heading back home this morning and then it will be nose to the grindstone (or sewing machine) to finish making my stock for

WIP, I’ve got a bit of a love hate relationship with my industrial sewing machine and tend to use my trusty domestic Bernina for most things but go top stitching through bulky layers of fabric it’s unbeatable. Working on a project bag using the gorgeous rainbow Amor tweed from this one will be coming with me to next month

The weather here in the UK is wild at the moment, today we have had torrential rain, and glorious sunshine all in very quick succession. The rain stopped for long enough for me to get into the garden and take some photos of my latest patchwork tote bag. This one is for the pink lovers and is available to buy you know where. I actually made this bag last week but had been waiting for the postie to deliver the leather handles which arrived this morning and I was then able to finish it and get it photographed before the rain arrives again.

A little bit of a busman’s holiday today as I decided to visit for various reasons I decided not to apply this year but was at a bit of a loose end today so decided to see what it was like on the other side of the counter. I met up with some of my yarn show buddies including , , .stitch.craft and was nice to have a catch up. I treated myself to a few goodies and managed to dodge the showers and walk into town for lunch. I really enjoyed it and glad I made the last minute decision to go, hopefully I’ll be back next year as a stall holder again.
