13 years. One belt.
Recently, one of our belts returned to the workshop for a little TLC after over a decade of daily wear. The buckle prong had finally broken - but the leather itself was still incredibly strong, supple and full of character.
That’s the beauty of vegetable tanned full grain saddle hide.
Unlike cheap bonded leather belts that crack, peel and end up in landfill, quality leather evolves with age. It softens naturally, develops a rich patina, and becomes uniquely yours over time.
This belt wasn’t worn out.
It was worn in.
At Mackenzie & George, we believe sustainability starts with longevity. Buy well, repair when needed, and enjoy products that only get better with age.
Because true quality doesn’t fade with time. It earns it.
