Mothers Day is fast approaching, and I don’t know about you but I often find it’s me behind the camera taking photos of those special moments and memories.

I bet if you got your phone right now, and went through your camera roll you’d find only a handful of pictures of you and the kids, but I bet there’s hundreds of the kids, or your partner and the kids. I think it’s time we changed that, although I’m sure we’d all love to have a professional take our photos it’s not always possible.

Which is why we’ve added some at home photo ideas to our Mothers Day board for you to try with your little one! Don’t panic about getting the perfect shot, or having matching outfits, all that matters is having fun and making memories.

Here are some tips to get you started:
1. Choose a well lit area with natural light
2. Set up somewhere sturdy to balance your phone (if you don’t have a tripod) to avoid blurry photos
3. Make it fun and playful to keep the kids engaged and smiling (why not try photographing making one of the craft ideas off our board to capture some candid moments)
4. Worried about the pressure and stress of getting the kids to stay still and smile on command, try recording a video of you and the kids having fun and screen shooting your favourite moments from the video

If you're ready to step out from behind the camera, click the link below for some photo ideas and crafts to do with the kids!

Happy International Women’s Day! May we continue to walk in the footsteps of those before us, and forge the way for those yet to come.

Here are a few of the INSPIRATIONAL women who helped us get where we are today! Comment below who you find inspirational.

The Suffragettes - they fought vehemently for women's rights, most specifically, the right to vote.

Eleanor Roosevelt - was involved with women's issues, working with the Women's Trade Union League and the International Congress of Working Women.

Frida Kahlo - was a Mexican born artist who used her art to highlight taboo topics for women such as abortion, miscarriage, birth, and breastfeeding, among other things. In doing so, she opened up a conversation about these topics.

Gloria Steinem - was often referred to as the "Mother of Feminism," she led the women's liberation movements throughout the '60s and '70s—and continues to do so today.

Absolutely! Every woman's success should be celebrated and used as a source of motivation and inspiration for other women. We're so much stronger when we come together, support each other, and cheer on one another's successes. It's amazing to see what we can accomplish when we have each other's backs!

Having a baby can be a wonderful but expensive experience. You’re not sure what products you like and don’t like, so end up buying everything but the kitchen sink. We’ve done a bit of research and found some amazing freebies and money saving hacks for you!

1. Emma’s Diary - offers free Mother and baby packs full of big brand products and samples for you to try before and after baby arrives. There are 4 gift packs in total tailored to different stages of your pregnancy, all you need to do is download their app or sign up online completely FREE of charge.

2. Your Baby Club - you will receive a Your Baby Box delivered straight to your door, full of mum and baby brands for you to try. Your Baby Club does require you to sign up to Amazon Baby Wishlist (more on that below) and spend ÂŁ20.00 to receive the box. For me personally I found the sign up process a bit time consuming with several pages to go through, well worth it for ÂŁ30 worth of FREE goodies though.

3. Amazon Baby Wishlist - You are required to create a Baby Wishlist and spend £20 to be eligible for this Welcome Gift. Creating a Baby Wishlist could be a great way to keep track of your purchases, and to share with relatives who wish to buy you a gift ensuring you get what you need. Top tip: if you’re going for a Your Baby Box too I recommend signing up for that first, then you have your discount code ready for your Amazon Baby Wishlist checkout.

4. Vinted - Babies grow so fast, and let’s be honest don’t end up wearing half the wardrobe you’ve bought for them as they’ve outgrown them etc. Why not look at sites like Vinted for your little ones clothing, you can grab some real bargains that are brand new, not only helping your wallet but the environment too.

Top tip: create an email address purely for signing up to freebies like this, It’ll save your important emails from getting lost, and help you keep all things baby in one place.

If you have any other hidden freebie gems or bargains for new Mamas, let us know in the comments!
