Historically used to treat snakebites (specifically Adder bites) and insect stings, leading to the name - Adder's Flower. I found some pretty (Silene dioica) on my walk today.
Culpepper (The 17th Century ) suggested decoctions of Red Campion for internal bleeding, kidney disease, and digestive issues.
Traditional preparations were used to soothe rashes, sores, and infections using the plants anti-inflammatory properties.

I'm currently trialling deep amber hued Ember.

Smoky diffused wisps of bonfire and Cade, deep soft botanical heart of oak moss and a long-lasting powdery base of Amber and leathery, almost burnt vanilla

Ember is not for the faint hearted, but if you want to smell like a Pagan Battle God/dess riding into the fire, leaving in your wake the smoking embers of your enemies....this scent is for you.

Foraging Camelia Sinensis...which is now quietly macerating in perfumers alcohol in amber glass for 8 weeks, capturing the tea like essence of this beautiful plant. I crafted a very delicious black tea from this same bush last Spring.

Natures gives us so much.
I am always grateful.
