If there’s one thing a squaddy loves more than rain, it’s seeing a civvy in mixed order dress.

First proper walkaround of the new Brecon. Gunmetal poppers, pocket flap keepers, and the MTP TRFsevery detail done properly, because that’s the only way we do it.

Trigger warning for any squaddies watching yes, that’s mixed dress delivering a Brecon.

Another one hand-delivered locally today, straight from the new batch. Somebody had to break the rules to get it to you faster.

Customers will become friends faster than friends will become customers. That’s never been truer than with Tom, a fellow busy man, and someone I get to grab a coffee and a natter with semi-regularly in Hagley, near our base in the Black Country.

Wearing the Blues and Royals polo top today launching Friday. Keep an eye on the daily stories for early access.

It’s all well and good saying you’ve got the best waterproof kit on the market. But if you can’t see it, how can you believe it?

So here it is the Churchill, getting properly jet washed. All guaranteed for 10 years, and made fully in Britain.

The Churchill named after our wartime leader, Sir Winston Churchill. And some days, running this business feels like a bit of a battle in itself.

Up against companies manufacturing overseas with margins we’ll never touch. But it’s a fight worth having keeping every bit of manufacturing here, for the good of our economy, for the good of Britain.

Stood in front of the mural of Sir Winston Churchill, where the Churchill jacket gets its name. Just a few miles from the factory where every single one of these is made.

That’s what you’re getting when you buy with Lockwood. Not just a jacket, every penny staying right here, supporting British jobs and our economy. All British made, no exceptions.

I started Lockwood because I wanted to make a genuinely waterproof jacket for soldiers. Something that actually did the job, not something that just claimed to.

Since then it’s grown into something bigger, a chance to have a real, tangible impact on our economy. That’s meant learning the hard way just how difficult it is to manufacture only in Britain, and accepting margins nowhere near what you’d get manufacturing overseas. But it’s the standard I set on day one, and I’m sticking to it. We’ve still got a few of the original issue smocks left the ones that started all of this.

Delivered another one by hand today, saving the postman a job and getting to meet the customer face to face. Must be the third or fourth one of these now.

Great to meet you today, Martin.

Fair warning: if you order from us and you live nearby, you might just get a knock on the door instead of a parcel through the letterbox.

The Metropolitan, named for exactly where the idea came from. A few armed Met Police officers asked if we could do them a smock in all black. Turned out it looked rather good. So we put it into full production.

Here it is getting properly tested. British made, individually numbered, backed by a 10 year guarantee.

The Brecon. Already over 70% sold on this launch. The smock that started it all — the first in the Lockwood line, and still British made from top to bottom.

10 year guarantee. Individually numbered. Built to actually do the job.
