This is called Horse Hair hem, I dont know why. Usually found in wedding and some cocktail / evening dresses. It helps to firmly hold a nice full hem in place adds a "swish"

This was on a wedding dress which i shortened and altered the off the shoulder bodice to fit firmly. ( sorry no pictures )

Some other alterations completed over the summer:

Lemon bridesmaid dress shortened and shaped hem for a petite customer.

Pink linen trousers altered for a lovely lady with mobility issues and not able to get up.to my seeing room
Side zip removed and trousers made to pull on with elastic at sides.

New zip, full length replaced in black gold dress.

Lovely way to meet some lovely people and thank you for your custom. ❤️

Hi lovely ladies, thank you all so much for following Sew Help Me

Just to confirm I am in Woodville on the High Street, just off Hepworth Road. In the future I will send direct instructions and a photo of my front door to anyone enquiring.

Hopefully this will avoid customers going to the wrong address by mistake , and that company just accepting work without questions.
