Day 2 of Artemis ✂️

Today I’ve gone right back to the beginning, working directly onto the mannequin and sculpting the pattern into shape.

This is one of my favourite parts of designing. I can have the idea in my head and a sketch on paper, but it’s when I start working three-dimensionally that the proportions, seams and shapes really begin to develop. And they quite often take me somewhere I wasn’t expecting!

There’s a long way to go, but Artemis is officially taking shape.

Do you dress head to toe in one colour, or mix it up?

I love the impact of dressing tonally. The Penelope shirt and Charlotte skirt, both in khaki linen, worn together almost become one complete look.

Change the shoes, add a different bag or a pop of colour and it feels completely different.

That's the versatility I love.

I left Yorkshire when I was 21 to embark on my fashion career.

But my heart never left.

I lived in London, Aberdeen, Brussels and then Aberdeen again. But I always craved home.

In 2021, I finally moved back. To Scarborough - a town that had never even been on my map.

But here I am. In God’s Own Country.

And I’m back for good. 💚

Today, everything I design is created, pattern cut and made here in my Scarborough studio. I’m surrounded by some of the finest cloth manufacturers in the world, incredible craftsmanship and a county I’m very proud to call home.

So on Yorkshire Day, I’m celebrating not only where I live, but where isabelleRANDALL lives too.
