A little weekend notice.

My sewing room is officially closed until Monday
I’m taking a little time away from my workroom this weekend to enjoy some family time. Mark & I have a family visit planned, so I’ll be putting work to one side and making the most of it.
I’ll be back in the workroom on Monday.

YEAR AGO TODAY
Looking back at this special memory bear I made a year ago today.
Made from clothing filled with precious memories, this little bear became something truly special — a way of keeping someone close, holding onto their story and creating a lasting reminder of the love shared.
It’s always such an honour to be trusted with something so personal and meaningful. A year on, I still remember making this one and the emotions that came with it.

Some keepsakes are so much more than just something handmade — they hold memories, love and a little piece of someone special.

I recently had the absolute honour of creating two precious keepsakes in memory of Scott Imrie — a Memory Bear made from Scott’s Hawaiian shirts and a beautiful Owl made from two of his Polo shirts. 🧸🦉
I feel incredibly honoured to have been trusted with such precious clothing and treasured memories. I hope these keepsakes bring comfort and become something to treasure for many years to come.

Everyone needs a work buddy, mine doesn't make the tea, doesn't thread the machine, and definitely doesn't help with the sewing, but it does guard my needle like its life depends on it.

I think I've finally got the hang of my embroidery machine... and I have to say, I think I've found my new best friend.
It's definitely been a learning curve, from my very old basic Janome machine but seeing those beautiful stitches come to life is very satisfying. I can't wait to start adding even more personalised details to my keepsakes and handmade creations.
Watch this space... there are lots of exciting embroidered projects to come! ❤️
