I'm Kezia, I graduated the Arts University Bournemouth in 2018 with a first class honours in Costume construction and I've since been working in numerous theatres in both costume and wardrobe

and most recently as full time alterations seamstress for the West Ends Harry Potter and The Cursed Child. In summer 2020 I began my online bridal business The Boho Bride and since moving to Guernsey in 2021 I now want to offer a bridal and fashion fitting and alterations service to the local people of Guernsey. Beautiful Sabrina ✨

Sabrina wanted to find a way to make her dress her own and so we added some beautiful sequin leaf embroidery pieces to the waistband and created a bespoke veil to match as well as perfecting the fit of course!

Beautiful Emily ✨

Emily came to me with a vision to create some soft flutter sleeves to add to her strapless dress, and we did just that - allowing a little additional support (although we made sure that came from within the dress too with a waist stay) and some shoulder coverage!

Emily left a lovely review saying : ‘As a plus sized bride I was worried about finding someone who would understand my dimensions, but it was just another Monday for Kezia. Each change was made thoughtfully and expertly. She is a truly skilled and experienced seamstress, a true gem to have found here in Guernsey. I cannot recommend her more. Beautiful Lauren✨

We made sure Lauren and all of her bridemaids had dresses that fit to perfection for her big day. For Lauren we took in the side and bust seams, replacing those gorgeous boning details, attached the skirt drape piece, hemmed and bustled and she was ready to go!

Beautiful Becks ✨

Becks was a little bit worried that because of the gorgeous lace it might not be possible to alter her dress but I reassured her quickly that that wasn’t a problem at all. I’m yet to turn a dress away for alterations, there’s always some sort of little trick to perfect that fit and it looked incredible for her big day!!

If you’re getting married in 2027 it’s not too early to get in touch (in fact I even have a 2028 list building!!) ✨

Beautiful Lou ✨

Lou’s dress needed nipping in at both the bust, waist and centre back seams, shoulders lifting, hems perfecting and bustle inserted, to tuck that gorgeous train up for dancing long into the evening. All of which made her dress perfect for her stunning French wedding, congratulations guys🥂

I’m trialling something new… general alterations are back!!

I have allowed the brides to well and truly take over, especially in the summer but I’m going to trial a general alterations fitting day, hopefully this will happen once a month and your alterations will be complete within that month.

Jeans, trouser hems, shirt sleeves, dress lengths, maybe you’ve lost weight and you’ve got clothes you wish you could wear again, old pieces that you want to re- vamp or jeans that have always been too long and you’ve been wearing them anyway?

✨ Next fitting date: Tuesday 1st September ✨

Pop me a message, let me know roughly how many items you’ve got and if you’d like a fitting or simply to pin the garment yourself and drop off.

Throwing it back to a beautiful Christmas wedding for the gorgeous Michelle ✨
Michelle’s dress needed major re sizing as well as bespoke sleeves and a whole new restyle of the neckline to create a more modern and super flattering shape🪡

Beautiful Cody ✨
A bride that came to me with two dresses, one which she felt was more ‘bridal’ and this one, that felt totally her and suited to her wedding - so we knew very quickly which was the one to go for! It just needed a few tweaks to perfect the fit, structure and length, creating a small puddle train and a bespoke pearl veil, which lasted long into the evening 🥂
