In 2025, Days for Girls will continue to:

🌼 Provide girls with high-quality menstrual health products and education to help them stay in school and reach their full potential.

🌼 Expand our humanitarian aid efforts, reaching girls wherever they are.

🌼 Honor local leadership to ensure long-term community support and success.

🌼 Educate men and boys about menstrual health to foster period-positive environments and families.

🌼 Advocate for menstrual equity on personal, professional, and political levels, driving systemic change for good.

What does menstrual Equity mean to you?

Apart from Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS), there are other health risks associated with poor menstrual hygiene or using unsanitary products. Some of these risks include:

1. Bacterial Vaginosis (BV)
2. Yeast Infections (Candidiasis)
3. Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
4. Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID)
5. Cervicitis (inflammation of the cervix)
6. Endometritis (inflammation of the uterine lining)
7. Vulvovaginitis (inflammation of the v***a and va**na)

These conditions can be caused by:

- Using unsanitary or shared menstrual products
- Not changing sanitary products frequently enough
- Using products that irritate the ge***al area
- Poor personal hygiene
- Sharing personal care items

It's essential to prioritize good menstrual hygiene, use sanitary products correctly, and practice self-care to reduce the risk of these health issues. If you have any concerns or questions, feel free to ask!

Last month we embarked on a donation journey to Bui in the Navrongo municipality empowering girls with menstrual products as well as some school shoes for our boys. Through the help of our friends in Ireland. Ms Clara od Bui DA JHS. Gd bless you.
