Colour Game: exploring how colour sparks feeling and thought.

“Newness and movement that’s how I feel. The opening up of a place, the expansion of a place.” — Larry Amponsah

Keeping to tradition, we return to our colour game.
It’s really just about noticing — how a colour can shift your mood or remind you of something without you even realising. Some feel light and easy, others stay with you a bit longer.
Colour isn’t simply visual, it’s deeply human. It moves through us as a kind of silent language
-shaping mood, influencing perception, and expressing emotion long before words have a chance to form. Psychologically, we respond to colour almost instinctively; culturally, we layer it with meaning over time. Together, it becomes a powerful form of expression— subtle, but undeniable.
Every shade holds a story - sometimes quiet, but there!

Our Art Talks artists had the opportunity to ask our Founder & Designer, some questions, to dive a little deeper into her creative process and what inspires her work.

“Honestly, I don’t know how I put colour together. It’s just a feeling. I think about the story I want to tell-and how I want people to feel.” - Delores Oblitey

For Delores, colour isn’t just a design choice-it’s a language. It plays a central role in shaping each piece, guiding the mood, energy, and emotional connection behind everything the brand creates. Every palette is intuitive, yet intentional, rooted in storytelling and the desire to evoke feeling.

A reminder that sometimes the most powerful designs begin with instinct, not instruction.

In our third episode, we’re joined by the superb artist Larry Amponsah, whose practice explores a rich variety of mediums. From fabric and print to photography and beyond, Larry enjoys experimenting with materials and forms to tell powerful visual stories.Having studied art in Ghana, China, and the UK, Larry has immersed himself in diverse cultural environments. These experiences have shaped his perspective, allowing him to absorb and reflect on the many ways people live, operate, and identify within different cultures.

As Larry reflects in the episode: “Identity is a very interesting thing, right? It’s like a two-edged sword. You have a way you see yourself, and you also have a way other people see you.”
