It's the African milliner's competition again and I present to you

MARKET MONARCH: THE SOVEREIGN BLOOM.

My inspiration stems from the resilience of the Ghanaian market woman. I transformed a simple table woven mat  into an avant-garde saucer hatinator to symbolize their strength under the sun.

For my creative process, I upcycled hand-dyed, and hand-painted local corn husks, meticulously sculpting them into a vibrant gradient garland of roses.

This design crowns their everyday sacrifices, proving that true heritage lives in the artistry, bravery, and hard labor of our mothers in the market.
