*WHO IS A CHRISTIAN?*

A Christian is a believer and witness of the power of God. Acts 1:8 , Mark 16:15-18

*Why Does a Christian have power?*

1. To enforce our sonship in God.
What makes me a son of God is my ability to exhibit the nature of God. The nature of God is power. John 1:12, Romans 1:4

2. For victory over the forces of wickedness and evil. Luke 10:19, 1John 5:19

The enemy submits only to the one true power; the power of God. As long as I live on this earth, I must subdue the enemy to enjoy the full blessings God has for me.

3. To fulfill divine destiny. Gen 32:24-28, Luke 3:21

Until power comes, carrying out my destiny as ordained by God will be impossible. Every assignment given by God needs the help of God in order to be fulfill. That help is the power of God.

*COVENANT PRACTICES IV*
*PLANT THE BEST SEEDS*

“Remember that the person who plants few seeds will have a small crop; the one who plants many seeds will have a large crop”(2 Corinthians 9:6 GNB).

Any good farmer will tell you that your harvest for the next season will be dependent on the quality of seeds sown during the planting season. . In the same way, when money comes into your hands, you ought to be smart enough to know you shouldn’t spend it all up and sow the smallest part of it!

Whenever you give to God, He multiplies your seed and releases an abundant harvest to you. That’s His nature, He’s a multiplier. He never gives you back exactly what you gave to Him. He multiplies it and ensures that your storehouse bursts at the seams with an overflow of abundance (Proverbs 3:9-10). Jesus demonstrated this when He fed five thousand men (women and children not counted) with five loaves of bread and two fishes.
Matt 14:14-20.

It stands to reason that the leftover twelve baskets went to the little boy, who volunteered his lunch with which the Master fed the multitude. He received more than enough, because he gave the Lord what he had, and the Lord multiplied it! Keep sowing your seeds and giving to God’s work, and He’ll see to it that you’re plugged to an unending supply. He’ll multiply your seeds sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness.
Luke 6:38..

*COVENANT PRACTICES II*
*(THE BLESSING ON GIVING)*

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
26 He is ever merciful, and gives ; and his seed is blessed. (Proverbs 37:25-26)

Sometimes, when people give to God, they want quick financial returns from Him. Yes, when you sow a financial seed, the Lord blesses and multiplies your seed sown, but never get discouraged or wonder if you did the right thing, if the harvest doesn’t come the way you expected it would.

Your blessings on financial giving don’t necessarily have to be in the form of money. There are other blessings that God causes to take place in your life that you may not even know about. If only you knew what your giving to the Lord could do for you! It connects you and everything that concerns you with God’s Spirit and gives you results that aren’t only for today, but for tomorrow and for all time.

So, if you’ve been giving, keep at it. If you haven’t, start today. Each time you have the opportunity to give, be excited; for it means the Spirit of God is doing something in your life that will affect the course of your destiny. “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you” (Luke 6:38).

*UNDERSTANDING THE CHURCH*
"......, I will Build my CHURCH and the gates of Hell shall not Conquer it." (Matthew 16:18 )

Jesus Christ is the First, to mention the CHURCH in the Bible. The word "church" is mentioned more than 100 times in the New Testament. It is translated from the Greek term ekklesia which is formed from two Greek words meaning "an assembly" and "to call out" or "the called out ones." The New Testament church is a body of believers that has been called out from the world by God to live as his people under the authority of Jesus Christ.. (Ephesians 1:22-23)

WHAT'S THE PURPOSE OF THE CHURCH??

*NOT FORSAKING THE ASSEMBLY OF OUR SELVES TOGETHER*.

I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD (Psalm 122:1).
Also read - Hebrew 10:25*

The Church has been God’s plan from the beginning to establish His kingdom here on earth. In the Old Testament, God set the children of Israel free from the land of Egypt for them to worship Him.

In the New Testament, the church is called the ground and pillar of truth: “…the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth” (1 Timothy 3:15). Each one of us is the house of God, the temple of God, but then the Bible notes that being a committed member of a church is of the utmost importance.

This was the understanding David had when he said in our opening SCRIPTURE...
Coming together with God’s people is very essential in your life. It’s one of the ways that you present yourself to the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

There’re a lot of Christians who don’t think that they need to go to church. They go once in a while, when they choose to. Anyone who lives that way misses the blessing of the Spirit—the impartation and perfecting of the saints that takes place in the Church. The Church is the place for perfecting God’s saints (Ephesians 4:11-12).

People don’t come to church because they’re perfect, but to be perfected. The Lord Jesus said, “ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you” (John 15:3). He builds, cleanses and perfects you through His Word. But when you don’t give yourself to the ministry of the Word, you’re sure to err. In Mark 12:24.

There’re things people do that put them in bo***ge; things that destroy the works of their hands, and they don’t know why. Also, there’re things you must do that ensure the brightness of your life, the brightness for your future, and guarantees you the God-kind of success; church attendance is one of them. Take it seriously.

Acts 2:42 GNB. Never miss Church Services..

*THE PRINCIPLE OF RECEIVING*

Jesus said, “…what things soever ye desire, when
ye pray, BELIEVE THAT YE RECEIVE THEM, AND YE
SHALL HAVE THEM.” Mark 11:24

Jesus is teaching us how to receive in the latter
part of this scripture. He’s showing us the principle
of receiving. In Matthew 7:8 He said, “Everyone that
asks receives.” In John 15:16, He lets us know we’re
chosen and ordained to receive answers when we pray..
Praying without receiving is religion and
religion gives you nothing. Of course, there are different kinds of Prayers..

3 PRINCIPLES FOR ANSWERED PRAYERS -
1. BELIEVE - It means ; to have a firm conviction as to the goodness, efficacy, or ability of something". Hebrews 11:6, Mark 9:23. Every Kingdom has rules, and in This Kingdom, nothing can be achieved outside Believing in Jesus.

2. JUST RECEIVE - (It means to Take, Lay Hold) Rom 5:17, John 16:24, Jn 1:11-12.
Prayer is not an avenue to remind God about
your needs and complain about all the things that
are troubling you. Unfortunately, that’s what many
folks do. They complain instead of declaring the
Word when they pray.

3. YOU HAVE THEM. Mk 11:23, 1 Cor 3:21, 2 Peter 1:4. In this aspect, you Confess what God's Word says, and walk in the reality of it.. Divine health is yours. Prosperity is yours.
Lasting peace is yours. Success, excellence and the
good life belong to you. Receive them into your spirit
by believing, accepting and declaring them with your
mouth; and watch your life transformed within a
moment of time. This is how to receive by faith.

The earth is the Lord ’ s , and the fullness of it, The world, and those who dwell in it. For He has founded it upon the seas And established it upon the streams and the rivers. Who may ascend onto the mountain of the Lord ? And who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to what is false, Nor has sworn [oaths] deceitfully. He shall receive a blessing from the Lord , And righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation (description) of those who diligently seek Him and require Him as their greatest need, Who seek Your face, even [as did] Jacob. Selah. Lift up your heads, O gates, And be lifted up, ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in. Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O gates, And lift them up, ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in. Who is [He then] this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory [who rules over all creation with His heavenly armies]. Selah.

💝🙏🙏🙏
Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior]. For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do [that is, overcome sin and remove its penalty, its power] being weakened by the flesh [man’s nature without the Holy Spirit], God did: He sent His own Son in the likeness of sinful man as an offering for sin. And He condemned sin in the flesh [subdued it and overcame it in the person of His own Son], so that the [righteous and just] requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who do not live our lives in the ways of the flesh [guided by worldliness and our sinful nature], but [live our lives] in the ways of the Spirit [guided by His power]. For those who are living according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh [which gratify the body], but those who are living according to the Spirit, [set their minds on] the things of the Spirit [His will and purpose]. Now the mind of the flesh is death [both now and forever—because it pursues sin]; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace [the spiritual well-being that comes from walking with God—both now and forever]; the mind of the flesh [with its sinful pursuits] is actively hostile to God. It does not submit itself to God’s law, since it cannot, and those who are in the flesh [living a life that caters to sinful appetites and impulses] cannot please God. However, you are not [living] in the flesh [controlled by the sinful nature] but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God lives in you [directing and guiding you]. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him [and is not a child of God]. If Christ lives in you, though your [natural] body is dead because of sin, your spirit is alive because of righteousness [which He provides]. And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you. So then, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation, but not to our flesh [our human nature, our worldliness, our sinful capacity], to live according to the [impulses of the] flesh [our nature without the Holy Spirit]— for if you are living according to the [impulses of the] flesh, you are going to die. But if [you are living] by the [power of the Holy] Spirit you are habitually putting to death the sinful deeds of the body, you will [really] live forever . For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading again to fear [of God’s judgment], but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons [the Spirit producing sonship] by which we [joyfully] cry, “ Abba! Father!” The Spirit Himself testifies and confirms together with our spirit [assuring us] that we [believers] are children of God. And if [we are His] children, [then we are His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His spiritual blessing and inheritance], if indeed we share in His suffering so that we may also share in His glory. For I consider [from the standpoint of faith] that the sufferings of the present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us! For [even the whole] creation [all nature] waits eagerly for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration and futility, not willingly [because of some intentional fault on its part], but by the will of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will also be freed from its bo***ge to decay [and gain entrance] into the glorious freedom of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been moaning together as in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only this, but we too, who have the first fruits of the Spirit [a joyful indication of the blessings to come], even we groan inwardly, as we wait eagerly for [the sign of] our adoption as sons—the redemption and transformation of our body [at the resurrection]. For in this hope we were saved [by faith]. But hope [the object of] which is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait eagerly for it with patience and composure. In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words. And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because the Spirit intercedes [before God] on behalf of God’s people in accordance with God’s will. And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. For those whom He foreknew [and loved and chose beforehand], He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son [and ultimately share in His complete sanctification], so that He would be the firstborn [the most beloved and honored] among many believers. And those whom He predestined, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified [declared free of the guilt of sin]; and those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity]. What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us? He who did not spare [even] His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against God’s elect (His chosen ones)? It is God who justifies us [declaring us blameless and putting us in a right relationship with Himself]. Who is the one who condemns us? Christ Jesus is the One who died [to pay our penalty], and more than that, who was raised [from the dead], and who is at the right hand of God interceding [with the Father] for us. Who shall ever separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? Just as it is written and forever remains written, “F or Y our sake we are put to death all day long ; W e are regarded as sheep for the slaughter .” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

20/04/2020

If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love [for others growing out of God’s love for me], then I have become only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal [just an annoying distraction]. And if I have the gift of prophecy [and speak a new message from God to the people], and understand all mysteries, and [possess] all knowledge; and if I have all [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love [reaching out to others], I am nothing. If I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it does me no good at all. Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. It is not rude; it is not self-seeking, it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered]; it does not take into account a wrong endured. It does not rejoice at injustice, but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail]. Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening]. Love never fails [it never fades nor ends]. But as for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for the gift of special knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part [for our knowledge is fragmentary and incomplete]. But when that which is complete and perfect comes, that which is incomplete and partial will pass away. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. For now [in this time of imperfection] we see in a mirror dimly [a blurred reflection, a riddle, an enigma], but then [when the time of perfection comes we will see reality] face to face. Now I know in part [just in fragments], but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known [by God]. And now there remain: faith [abiding trust in God and His promises], hope [confident expectation of eternal salvation], love [unselfish love for others growing out of God’s love for me], these three [the choicest graces]; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:1‭-‬13 AMP
