EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE NEW YORK FASHION WEEK 2017
The New York Fashion week ends today and some of us would like it to stay but hey other fashion weeks are underway so we have to let go. The NYFW 2017 saw amazing setups and amazing clothes from exceptional designers. Designers like Alexander Wang, Helmet Lang, Victoria Beckham, Tom Ford, Rihanna, Carolina Herrera, Jeremy Scott, Calvin Klein, Adam Selman, Tracy Reese, Christian Siriano, Heidi Klum, Oscar de la Renta and more unveiled bright, colorful new styles for spring 2018.
As usual Hollywood celebrities including the likes of Kim Kardashian, Ciara, Nicki Minaj, Julianne Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, Brooke Shields, Kate Bosworth, Trevor Noah, Christina Ricci, Paris Jackson, Jessica Alba, Emma Roberts, Jim Carrey, Selena Gomez, Bella Thorne, Jared Leto and Lionel Richie were also caught up in the fashion fever.
What caught my attention about the NYFW was the uniqueness in setup for each runway. There were mad setups from motor racing fields by Fenty x Puma to Garden runways from Tory Burch (who I find her designs breathtaking). Alexander Wang had a street runway which saw models coming out of a bus. Victoria Beckham had an all-white setup with square wooden structured seats and my personal favorite, Oscar de la Renta having models going and coming down an escalator. Ralph Lauren is yet to outdoor its designs today but the setup is out and it is totally breathtaking. I hope Glitz Africa learns something from this since the CEO Mrs Claudia Lumor had an invitation to be part of LDJ production crew for the NYFW.
Big name models showing off upcoming collections included Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Teyana Taylor, Ashley Graham, Stella Maxwell, Adriana Lima, Sofia Richie and Cindy Crawford's daughter Kaia Ge**er.
The 2017 NYFW began on Thursday, 7th September and it ends Wednesday, September 13, 2017.
