Installation day of the Pétale pendant light at a private residential project by

Conceived as a large-scale lighting installation across a three-level staircase, Pétale operates between object and architecture — closer to a vertical chandelier that unfolds through space.

Repeated elements create a layered composition of light, accompanying movement between floors and redefining the perception of height and depth.

This project marked a pivotal moment: it became the reason the piece moved into production.
What was initially an installation evolved into a modular lighting system, now part of the studio’s collection.

At the beginning of winter in Greece, Pétale unfolded as an intimate gathering shaped by material, light, and shared presence. Held on the 1st of November 2025, the evening marked a subtle seasonal shift — a pause between warmth and quiet, movement and stillness. Objects, space, and people came together in an atmosphere defined by softness, reflection, and thoughtful exchange.

Thank you to all who were with us that evening and made it truly meaningful.

Théros Orbita is available in two sizes (40cm and 50cm), as an open edition.
The neutral palette and minimalist form of these artisanal lighting objects allow them to blend seamlessly into a wide range of interiors. They will soon become available in additional stoneware colours, on the Studio Aristotelis Barakos catalogue.

The new lighting objects are co-created with ceramicist .ceramics_giannis.zois Giannis Zois, following the success of our (now sold-out) Théros Ceramic Limited Edition. For Théros Orbita, Zois and Barakos have replaced the terracotta body with a sleek, striking dark brown stoneware base. Glazed and then engraved by hand to create horizontal rings around the body (hence their name), these objects are both elegant and bold, exuding a quiet confidence. The horizontal carvings lend the object a tactile rhythm, enhancing the contrast between the glazed and unglazed surfaces and allowing the light to dance gently across the ceramic.
