Kimalé was established in 2013 by Irène Mamfredos,
a French/Greek designer based in Athens, Greece
together with her friend and pattern-maker Aliki Demi. Using High quality African materials to create garments and accessories with clean cut silhouettes and functional shapes, Kimalé aims to combine a vibrant and colorful cultural heritage with the minimalist side of modern fashion. Focusing on crea
ting absolutely unique pieces, Irène and Aliki propose an elegant yet youthful women’s style, inspired by the philosophy
of slow fashion. For the raw materials Kimalé is collaborating with the French association “Les Piroguiers" which is active in Togo and Burkina Faso, helping schools with material and funds. Kimalé represents a wonderful movement of an era where being creative is not only a way out but also a way of moving on!
