Our real time update 🩵

We adored Joopiter’s Sun and everything we had created. It was a creative process that we enjoyed collaborating on together. Joopiter’s Sun was created from our combined love for adventure and nature 🌿🌎🌿 We’ve learnt so many news skills and lessons in bringing Joopiter’s Sun to life and although we found immense joy in the process — It’s time to shift gears!

Life has presented us with new opportunities that has caused us to pivot and put our energy elsewhere. We are grateful for what was, grateful for what currently is and looking forward to what’s to come! ❤️

We want to thank everyone who supported our journey and showed enthusiasm and interest ✨🙌🏻✨

Joopiter’s Sun was all about the love of adventure, exploring and the beauty of nature — And because this is an innate part of who we both are — We will continue to share our outdoor experiences with you here! After all, that’s what we adore most! 🩵

So, what have we been doing?
We’re currently managing the family Villa in Kefalonia, Greece! 🇬🇷 Seeing as we are always on the go — We’ve transformed our handle to 🤭😍🤭

When we aren’t working — We’re exploring 🩵

📍 Myrtos Beach, Kefalonia, Greece

The most magnificent shades of blue you will ever lay your eyes on. We’ve stopped to stare at Myrtos many times and we will never cease to be blown away. This coastline is also incredibly beautiful. We will always marvel at Myrtos and many other locations on this island — Paradise Island 🩵

🗺️ DAY 7 🗺️

🥾 HIKE DISTANCE: 19.74KM RETURN

So — This was a fun hike!
We started by visiting Kisha e Thethit. The morning sunshine casting his beautiful rays on the church ⛪️ The beginning of our hike required us to walk through fields with very little signage and the paths were very narrow, if not none existent. This felt like a real adventure! 😍

We eventually came across a few others on this trail — It was nice to see others! — We all managed to find our way to a dead end… (As I said - The trail was virtually non existent! 😂) and had to use our instincts to find a trail to opened up to what seemed like “the right way” to go. Fantastic! — If you ask me 🙌🏻🤩🙌🏻

So where were we aiming to head to?!

📍 The Blue Eye — Kapree e Gimajve

👉🏼 Swipe right and have a looksy at the cute little creatures we came across! 🦎+🐍+🪲 — I was amazed by the blue beetle! I’ve never seen one in my life! 🤩😍🤩

An unforgettable experience! 🌅

Camping amongst the trees — This adventure was sublime ❤️ Waking up to the crisp alpine air, to the sun rising… Knowing we had a cooked breakfast to follow! Truly a heavenly weekend away. Thanks to the team at 👏🏻 Truly, a memorable time!

Part 2 ⛰️

Truthfully, there was a lot of incline on this hike! Virtually the whole way up to the peak of the valley was… Uphill! There were many hikers on this hike which is always wonderful to see. It’s quite a popular hike to do in the 🥾 We discovered that these magnificent alps are one of the most popular, if not, the most* popular to hike in Europe! We can totally see why! 😍🤩

📝 NEED TO KNOWS 📝
*Some are no brainers I suppose…!

🤝 The path is generally quite narrow
🐴 Be mindful of the horses (and animals) using this track
💦 Always prepare with hydration, even on a cloudy day!
☀️ Be aware of the temperatures you will face
📈 The higher you go, the colder and windier it gets!
🍽️ There are snack/cafe stops if needed
🩵 The water is drinkable from any stream!
📱 Ensure you have service or a satellite phone
🩹 Always travel with a first aid kit even if it’s basic!
🥾 The terrain changes a lot - Wear appropriate footwear

We packed our things - (We only travelled with this pack from Kefalonia to Tirana knowing that we would need to hike with all our belongings!) One pack each, and off we went. Starting from the town of to the next town of - It was glorious! ✨🥾✨
