“Life is a constant change and so we cherish the constants that are dispersed like bridgeheads throughout our life. They are anchors, towers and markers of a finite timeline.
A mirror, for instance, this inconspicuous day-to-day object that constantly changes, because the world around drifts in and out of view permanently, with the full force of reality. I wake up and confront the mirror. I am not reluctant to face it, but often people are, and when they are, they miss the beauty of mirroring: truth. The wall installation ‘day2day’ consists of reflecting surfaces in various sizes mounted on teakwood. I imagine the very first raindrops of a storm that accelerate and expand as messengers of reality.”

The concept behind “Self-Therapia” explores the deep connection between our minds and the objects around us, emphasizing how these objects are not merely accessories but elements that influence and define who we are. It argues that our identity is intertwined with our environment, and objects play a crucial role in shaping our sense of self. These objects influence our experiences, filling emotional voids and contributing to our social status and self-perception. Through interviews and created archetypes, the project investigates people’s relationship with accumulating objects, reflecting different dynamics of this behavior. The visual component, through still lifes and fashion, shows how objects—whether functional or symbolic—reflect and shape our identity. The project avoids judgment, offering a photograph and a neutral perspective on how accumulation defines our sense of self.
