Some of the most important design decisions behind AKA'IKI hoodies are the ones few people ever notice.

We spent months perfecting our interchangeable NFC-enabled badge – the materials, the NFC chip, and the system linking each hoodie's unique ID to its owner's profile in our Community App. We went through numerous iterations optimising the placement of the four YKK snap buttons that attach the badge to the sleeve. If the alignment isn't exactly right, we would rather remake the entire hoodie than compromise on quality.

That level of care is part of every AKA’IKI hoodie.

Y-3, the collaboration between Yohji Yamamoto and Adidas, inspired us with its understated aesthetic, thoughtful proportions and timeless quality. Stone Island also influenced our thinking through its iconic badge, encouraging us to create our own interchangeable NFC-enabled badge secured with premium Japanese snap buttons.

AKA’IKI Co-founder, Mónica Kaufmann González, has been in Spain with her boys for the MadCup Football tournament, where one of them had the chance to take part with FCBangkok

It has been a full few days of football, travel, early mornings, late nights, team spirit, and memories that will stay with these young players for a long time.

AKA’IKI was proud to sponsor the teams and be part of this experience in a small but meaningful way. Seeing the boys arrive in Madrid, compete with heart, support each other, and carry their team with such pride has been incredibly special.

Opportunities like this mean so much at a young age. They give children the chance to experience a different country, meet players from other clubs, test themselves on the pitch, and feel the energy of a tournament that brings people together through sport.
