Berayah Contemporary Minimal Designs

Founded in April 2013, Berayah is a contemporary fashion label. “Berayah” - which comes from the Hebraic word “Baraiah” meaning “God has created” - takes inspiration from Biblical notions as an underline narrative to each collection. Aiming to create clothes that marry crisp geometric aesthetics with a modern sensitivity, the craft of draping is applied to every piece of the collection to achieve uniquely three-dimensionally cut garments that truly flatter the body.

Australia, you beautiful, majestic, blessed land. We’re devastated over the wild fires, our hearts and prayers are with you. May your beauty once again capture the wonder of mankind, and your nature speak glory to creation.

Hey guys, sorry we haven’t posted in a while. It’s been a rough couple of weeks in Hong Kong, and amidst all the chaos and hurt, we just didn’t feel like it was an appropriate time to promote, nor could we muster up the right words to say. Whilst things have been relatively calmer over the past couple of days, it didn’t take away from the giant cloud that’s still looming large over us.

We know we’re not a platform for political talk (so we’ll try to keep it at a minimum), but we’re also not removed from the society we live in. As we step into the holiday season, we just want to hold out hope. Hope that things will get better from here on, hope that our leaders can make decisions for the good of the people, and hope that we can one day enjoy again a prosperous, fair and harmonious society. It’ll take some time to get there, but the people of Hong Kong are resilient, industrious and will come back stronger; this we don’t have to hope, because we know it.

Our DIAGONAL Bag has been awarded the DFA Design For Asia Awards 2019 - Bronze Award! We've always believed in simple designs that improve lives, and are very honoured to receive the recognition. It wouldn't have happened without the support of our fans, friends and working partners, we hope this award goes a little ways in validating your belief in us. Thank you!

New blog post!

This time we are honoured to have Belinda Love Lee, who runs a graphic design and letterpress studio and is also a content generator and blogger. With the many hats she wears, we swapped them with a tote bag for an afternoon and had a wonderful chat about her design and personal journey.

Read the interview here:

Interview of Toronto-based designer and founder of a letterpress studio Belinda Love Lee, who shared with us her passion, struggles and personal growth in the life of a creative. We visited Tai Kwun during her recent visit to Hong Kong, and explored their historical and minimalistic site.

We all know the 3R's in reduce, reuse and recycle, but despite common beliefs, many of these paper and plastic products cannot be recycled. Let's continue the conversation, spread knowledge and save our environment one step at a time.
