he highly anticipated opening of HKDI's 2024 flagship exhibitions is just one week away!

Dual exhibitions "Ma Yansong: Landscapes in Motion" and "ITALY: A New Collective Landscape," which have been thoughtfully curated to encourage a multidisciplinary appreciation for design among the public, will open to visitors on 19 January at the HKDI Gallery.

Rebecca Fiorini is a fashion designer graduated from NABA Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti.

She manages to translate her passion for fashion through her creativity, creating absolutely incredible patterns. She has recently collaborated with us to create exclusive patterns for our design library.

The bag you see in the image was designed by our partner Chiara Cesaraccio. Passion and love for tradition are the keywords to express the fashion accessories designer.

As a fashion creation platform that empowers talent, we partner up with designers members of our community to develop our collections. They share with us their know-how and experience in order to create exclusive designs and patterns. Then, after selling the items to the fashion brands under a white label regime, we split the sales with the designers.

Regarding the product development, we select the most environmentally and socially sustainable options at all stages of product development: from materials research to supply chain assessment, from CSR to quality control policies.

DesignInspire (3-9 December), a creative showcase presented by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. This year going fully digital!

Organized by the Consulate General of Italy in Hong Kong and the Italian Cultural Institute in Hong Kong, supported by VivereALL'Italiana and powered by HERE Fashion Hub, the Italian Design Pavilion DesignInspire is a program of ITALIA MIA Festival that aims to promote the excellence of Italian design education in Asia.

The initiative brings together some of the leading Italian design schools and associations in a digital space, such as IED - Istituto Europeo di Design, School of Management LUM, Iulm Università, NABA Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Scuola Politecnica Design SPD Milano, Milano Fashion Institute, 5VIE and Mr. Lawrence.

The Italian Cultural Institute also promotes the project "Design Made in Hong Kong", 2020-2021. 5VIE will produce a series of webinars to talk about the work developed by the students of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Design Institute - HKDI and Hong Kong Baptist University 香港浸會大學. The project is curated by Mr. Lawrence to be presented in an exhibition in Hong Kong and then at Milan Design Week 2021.
