強烈光線，能有效保護眼睛免受紫外光的傷害，尤其在駕駛時能擋住表面的反射炫光，在忽明忽暗的環境下仍能安全駕駛。另外，眼鏡的Mini標誌採用鐳射工藝，每副眼鏡都有令人驚喜的Mini DNA。

現代人用眼過度，讓眼睛過勞，是造白內障提前報到的一大原因。而高度近視者，在短時間之內度數大幅增加，例如半年內加深了200～300度以上，必須小心可能罹患白內障。此外，眼睛經常接受紫外線照射，會引起水晶體中水分及蛋白質變異，加速形成白內障；台灣人糖尿病、心血管疾病等慢性病年輕化的趨勢，連帶使眼睛老化病變提早發生，因為這些慢性病患者，特別是糖尿病、高血壓、高血脂的人，也是併發白內障等眼疾的高危險群。

選配太陽眼鏡，應先讓眼科視光師檢查眼睛，評估眼睛健康狀態、屈光度數及戶外活動時間等，從而選出一副最合用，最明智，有型有款的太陽眼鏡。

香港眼科學會會長、眼科專科醫生李佑榮表示，太陽眼鏡應要可遮擋99%至100%的紫外光，不同顏色的鏡片各有特色，其中以灰色鏡片最自然，天陰也會有紫外光照射，眼睛也需太陽眼鏡保護。
