We repurpose plastic waste into functional fabrics focusing on sustainably made kit across multiple sports. Tsunami Sport started life in 2003 with a simple enough premise: to make truly distinctive team kit that worked harder and looked better – kits we wanted to wear ourselves. From these beginnings we’ve grown our product range from the original rugby collection to include high performance matc

h kits for a comprehensive range of sports from football to dragon boat racing. Our small Hong Kong-based company found itself growing into an internationally acclaimed brand, while retaining its customer-focused, small community feel. In all our years of service, we have held true to our initial objectives of supplying high quality team and leisurewear at affordable prices, but more importantly we have supported this with our passion for the environment. The majority of our clothing is made from our exclusive Eco-Fit™ fabric, which converts plastic water bottles into a breathable, high quality yarn. We largely partner with academic, corporate and sports organisations who are pushing boundaries with their Eco initiatives. Tsunami Sports is proud to be exhibiting at the 2026 Secondary Schools Sport Conference, taking place on 14–15 September 2026 at the Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre.

With this year’s theme, “Strengthening School Sport,” the conference brings together professionals from across Aotearoa New Zealand’s secondary school sport sector to focus on building a more connected, sustainable and effective school sport system.
