Passé means old-fashioned in French. Indeed, this small Dublin-shaped smoking pipe evokes the old days, with its simple elegance, comfort, and straight yet mysterious grains. The rounded stummel meets an angular shank, which flows in a saddle-shaped straight stem, altogether revealing a kind of art deco combination. The pipe is what it is: a featherweight, aesthetic smoking device. Despite some minor surface defects (some sandpits and tiny blotches in the burl's grain-structure), slower-burning flake pipe tobaccos from the wetter side can be an excellent companion for its chamber. Final word: the pipe is a sitter, i.e. it stands firmly on its own feet, as surely as the value choice of the future owner.

It is easy to blame the man who fell into temptation, but he still has “The knowledge”. This (bitten) apple shaped smoking pipe is a rarefied piece, with its rounded, feminine lines, it is attractive for an epicure pipe smoker. The straight grains highlight the curves of the bowl’s sides, which is made special by the missing concave part mimicking a wave. The curvatures can be observed not only on the bowl, but also on the widening shank (may look so, but not a reverse calabash!). As a closing cap, a piece of Ukrainian birch burl cap is attached to the end of the stummel. The fun doesn't stop there, a twisting ebonite mouthpiece (with a traditional push tenon) completes the overall look of the pipe. The slightly bent stem was developed in detail: despite the relatively significant weight of the pipe (78 gr), it is very comfortable to hold in the mouth. The balance of the pipe is in place: not too long, not too short, and the thick sidewalls protect the finger from overheating. It’s chamber is suitable for comfortable 45-50 minute smoking. It will be a real exclusive, unique piece for the tempted owner!

In addition to the sophisticated yet modern extravagant line-drawing, the fact that the pipe stands steady on its own foot and the mouthpiece can be efficiently run in and out makes it easy to use. The dark color tone adds depth to the briar’s grain, while the original bark marks on the top of the rim and their associated single-color dark matte surfaces result in an overall organic effect. During use, the chamber will darken quickly so those inner walls will blend together into a deep crater-like cave by the puffs of the lucky owner. No chemicals, wall precarbonizer, or any taste-spoiler material is used in the chamber of this pipe. The simplicity of the mouthpiece is almost provocative, but the concept forgives everything in exchange for comfort: with its lightweight of 44 grams, it is easy to clench on the bit, let holding this unique little sitter between your teeth for a long time. The essence of the design lies in the minimalist approach: the traditional poker shape has been given a dynamic tilt, causing the entire stummel to bounce forward, but still stand stabile on its own feet.
