Thankfully we have had some rain and cooler weather so the earth can absorb it, but it does make dressing appropriately hard!

May showers this weekend bring sustainable May flowered dresses to our May Flowers and Showers Clothing Exchange!

It looks like we are finally in for a bit of rain this weekend!

But that makes it even more important that we conserve what water we can in our own lives.

You can do your part at our Clothing Exchange next Thursday!

All these cotton dresses will be there and more and they all took a lot of water to make!

Bring your unloved but great conditioned clothes to our Exchange on May 21st at 18.00 at Eotvos10 Cultural Center in gallery 119 and exchange them for fab new-to-you sustainable treasures.

Do you know what takes up to 10,000, yes 10,000, liters of water to make?

One pair of your jeans!

And did you know we are experiencing a severe drought in Hungary right now?

Last month was the driest April in Hungary in 100 years.

Our new Prime Minister asked his newly appointed environmental minister to develop a short and long term strategy for water conservation BEFORE they even took office.

And yet it takes 10,000 liters of what to make pair of our jeans.

So what can we do?

Bring your jeans to us on Thursday, May 21st for our May Flowers and Showers Exchange.

And if you take any of our large selection of jeans, jeans skirts or jeans shorts@or jeans to be upcycled we will give you bonus credits to be used at our June Exchange l, our last Exchange of the season.

All these jeans and more will be available at our May Flowers and Showers on Thursday, May 21st.

We are back at SEK Budapest International School changing the attitudes of the next generation!

In this case the 5th and 6th graders!

First we discussed the impact of our clothing choices on the environment and then we discussed how a circular economy could be a solution to that.

And now we have a Prime Minister who takes climate change seriously and new Ministry for the Living Environment who has said that he will be the conscience of all the other Ministries.

It’s difficult to overstate how hopeful things feel for the future and for climate innovation.

Let’s begin with more school outreach.

We are ready to serve our home and our planet!

The Corvinus Swap Shop brought so many new faces, sustainable pieces and organizations together that we are still catching up!

Our first big collaboration, Corvinus University, The Garment Exchange, Swappis Buda with prizes by Bolyki Wineries .pinceszet and Touque De Soul

Over 200 Shoppers, 91 Customers/Exchangers, 65kg of recirculated clothing and 211kg of Carbon not spewed into the atmosphere.

And a new inventory for our next event on May 21st!

We hold a Clothing Exchange to help hydrate the planet! (And ourselves!)

Date and time: THURSDAY, May 21, 2026 / 18.00 Check-in / 18.30-20.30 Shopping

Location: Eötvös10 Cultural Center gallery 119 / Eötvös utca 10 / 1067 Budapest

Entry fee: 2 500HUF or 3000HUF with welcome drink.

Bring your friends and family and receive bonus credits if they have never participated before.

EXCHANGE RULES
(STRICT - and we’re sticking to ‘em!)

• Spring & Summer clothing ONLY,
• 10 piece limit*
• Near perfect condition ONLY (must be washed, wrinkle- and pet hair free!)**

*Do not bring more than 10 pieces on the night, we will not accept them. If you want to bring more than 10 HIGH QUALITY, CLEAN items - please contact me before the event.

**Please be respectful of others attending this event and only bring clothing that you yourself would be willing to pay money for: no stains, no pet hair, no wrinkles, freshly washed, neatly folded, etc.
